Key learning outcomes
The aim of the two-year M.A. program is to provide students with a profound knowledge of the Chinese language, which allows them to find job in positions requiring the daily use of Chinese or working in a Chinese environment. Apart from language skills, students focus on a research topic of their interest, extend their skills in a culturally specific environment and transfer them into practise.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples
The aim of the study is to prepare experts for professions closely associated with Chinese language, either in its spoken and written form. Our graduates are then familiar with the history and culture of contemporary China in particular, because they are employed primarily as translators, working in the diplomatic service, museums, media, research institutes and other academic institutions, etc. The Master study reflects the possibility to continue to the post-graduate studies at Charles University in Prague in the fields of languages, literature and history of Asia and Africa, at Palacký University in the field of general linguistics and theory of communication.
