Course content
Student successfully completes the course and gain credits by demonstrating participation in the czech-chinese translation contest. It is recommended to participate in the competition organized by Czech-Chinese society or any other national literary translation competition. Selected text is to be consulted and approved by the course teacher at the beginning of the semester as well as the competition.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to motivate students to do translations already during their studies and prepare them for a possible direction application after completing bachelor's or master's degree.

Prerequisites
Adequate level of Chinese language and basic experience in translation (course is recommended for bachelor students, who have completed a course YD1, YD2, and for master students.)

Assessment methods and criteria

Student successfully completes the course and gain credits by demonstrating participation in the czech-chinese translation contest. It is recommended to participate in the competition organized by Czech-Chinese society. Selected test as well as the competition is to be consulted and approved by the course teacher at the beginning of the semestr. By the end of the semester, the proof of participation in the competition, original text as well as the translation is submitted to the course teacher. Student must be the only translator of a text which has not been translated to Czech yet.
