Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the latest trends in Asian Studies at domestic and international conferences (co-)organized by (not only) the Department of Asian Studies at the Faculty of Arts, UP. The student chooses the conference based on his/her own interest. If he/she is not sure whether a given conference is suitable, he/she should contact the course supervisor.
Student should get the knowledge of latest development and trends in Chinese Studies (1. Cultural Anthropology of China, 2. Modern China, 3. Chinese Literature, 4. Chinese Linguistics, 5. Chinese History and Religion).
Prerequisites
The seminar is recommended for all students of Chinese Philology or Palacky University who want to expand their horizons on the latest research trends in the field of Chinese studies.

Assessment methods and criteria
Questionnaire

Requirements: Electronic submission of reviews for at least three conference lectures, each of 500 words (total 1500 words). The reviews must be uploaded as one file to the course Moodle. Reviews can be accepted up to 2 months after the conference.
