(1928-1934), the Japanese occupation and the Declaration of Independence on the 17th August 1945, The Indonesian revolution and wars of independence (1945-1949), Sukarno's journey from freedom to guided democracy (1950-1965), Suharto´s New Order (1966-1998), 1998-today - will each have a 90 minute lecture devoted to them. Each theoretical lecture will be followed by a seminar focusing on reading and analysing of selected texts.
