Course content
1st aesthetic mastery of world literature, aesthetic interpretation of literature, literary life, historical changes in literary communication, the theme of literary works, content and form 2nd function of literature, language, idea and tells, plot, composition, narrator 3rd literary characters and classification of literature, literary types and genres, poetry, epic, drama, poetry vs.. prose; verbal folklore 4th composition, subject and theme, story and narrative, character, space 5th poetic image, metaphor, metaphorical structure; versologie 6th periodization of Chinese history, literature, Confucian canonical literature (Book of Changes, The Book of documents and ritual texts, including their comments) and philosophical works "hundred schools" (Talks, Mencius, Sun Tzu, Han Fei Tzu, Mocius; book on Tau and Virtues, Master Zhang) 7th historical fiction (The Chronicles, Legends Mr. CuO, Commentaries historian, dynastic history, S'-ma Kuang 8th literary essay (Han Yu, Liu Cung-Yuan Ouyang Xiu, three Su, Wang An-Shi, etc.) 9th beginnings of poetry: The Book of Songs, Songs of Chu, poetry, Han (Han and Yue fu-fu), the development of poetry (Tao Yuan-ming) 10th the beginnings of Chinese opera in Yuan Dynasty 11th developing stories, forerunner of the modern Chinese novel (the stories of three empires, Pretty Women, Pilgrimage to the West, Tales from the lake shore, Dream of the Red House) 12th Literary Theory and Criticism: Liu Sie spirit of poetry carved into dragons

Learning outcomes
The aim of this lecture, which is designed for students of the master dvouoborového study Chinese philology, is to introduce students to basic concepts and terms the theory of literature (Chinese terminology in comparison with the Czech), make the analysis of literary works and is practically applied to various genres. It also introduces learners to the course periodization development of Chinese literature from the earliest literary monuments to the early 20th century, ie the emergence of modern literature. Characterizes individual periods, literary trends, genres and currents, and interprets the creative personalities of Chinese literature. However, constantly refers to the theoretical framework established in the first part of the course. The presentation is led by prof. Lucie Olives, Ph.D. Students are regularly awarded mandatory reading associated with the currently Subjects covered topic and trainees from each course is also the beginning of the semester is assigned a paper in relation to a particular period in the history of Chinese literature: the life and work of noted author, the main features of the Chinese philosophical currents, their impact on Chinese literature creation, etc. Credit verify orally master theme.
