These changes are defined by some basic terms: postmortem changes, regressive or progressive changes, metabolic changes, inflammation, immunopathological processes etc. The content of the oncopathological part is familiarization with the general mechanisms of tumor formation, the histogenetic division of tumors and the principles of their histological and molecular diagnostics.

Learning activities and teaching methods

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic structural and functional changes in cells and tissues during the development of diseases.
The student will learn about the causes, pathogenesis and morfology of the diseases and will be able to implement knowledge of pathology into consequent clinical subjects and into diagnostic-therapeutic process.
Prerequisites
