Course content
Anatomical nomenclature. Designation of directions and planes. Chapters of general anatomy (osteology, arthrology, angiology, myology, neuroanatomy). Skeleton of the axial skeleton, upper and lower limbs. Joints of the axial skeleton, upper limbs, lower limbs. Muscles of the upper and lower limbs. Pelvis as a whole. Structure of the spinal nerve. Overview of nervous plexuses. Nerves of the upper and lower limbs. Aorta, vessels of the upper and lower extremities. Structure of the skull, topographic spaces of the skull. Skull of a newborn, sex differences on the skull. Muscles of the head, neck, chest, abdomen, back and pelvic floor. Topographic spaces on the upper and lower limbs. Heart. Venous system. Lymphatic system, lymphatic organs, lymphatic vessels and nodes. Fetal circulation. Digestive system. Serous cavities.

Learning outcomes
Based on the basic knowledge of biology and somatology corresponding to the curriculum of a four-year high school, students learn about basic hierarchy of the structure of the human organism in the sequence cell-tissue-organs-systems-organism. Knowledge of general osteology, arthrology, myology, angiology, neurogenesis is further developed in systematic and topographical relationships with the aim of resulting in practical clinical applications. Terminologia anatomica is used as the basis of all medical terminology. The main content of the subject is the musculoskeletal system, spinal nerves, circulatory system, lymphatic and digestive system.
By completing the course, the student will gain knowledge about the structure of tissues, the musculoskeletal system, the vascular and lymphatic system, spinal nerves, and the gastrointestinal tract. The acquired knowledge is the basis for studying the function of the organism in both normal and pathological conditions. At the same time, they contribute to the understanding of a holistic view of the functioning of the human body. The knowledge is further developed in the subject Anatomy 2 in the second semester, and also represents a theoretical basis for further education in preclinical fields of general medicine.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of general biology, cell biology and human biology corresponding to the grammar school. Abilities to work with professional text, interpretation of what is being studied, understanding of logical relationships between organ systems.

At least 90 % participation in the practical trainings, knowledge according to the lectures and practical training topics, practical knowledge of the skull (A-E evaluation), practical knowledge of the topographical anatomy (A-E evaluation)
