Course content
During the Winter Semester the student will be acquainted with the Basic Procedures in Healthcare whose practical training will be on the most modern teaching models and simulators. This subject is followed with the subject Basic Procedures in Healthcare 2 in the Summer Semester.

Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Observation, Demonstration, Training in job and motor Skils
Learning outcomes
The aim of this subject is: a) to teach students of general medice the knowledge of the safe execution of basic medical exercises in a vocational classroom; b) to learn how to perform the relevant performance in accordance with valid standards and practically practice the independent performance of performances on models under professional supervision; c) to prepare students of general medicine for the practical implementation of basic clinical practice compliance with applicable standards.
Students prove knowledge of safe implementation (handling of sterile material, wound care, measuring physiological functions etc.). Students prove the ability to perform individual procedures.
Prerequisites
Theoretical knowledge of human anatomy and physiology at the practical nurse level.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Didactic Test, Systematic Observation of Student

Before each BPH 1 seminar passing the online test proving the student's individual preparation on a given topic. Active participation in seminars, especially in practicing communication skills in all topics. An active approach to hands-on practice of basic procedures under the supervision of a teacher. Emphasis is placed on teamwork and collegiality in model situations. Completion of the final online test on all topics of BPH 1 during the examination period of Winter Semester.
