Learning outcomes
The course deals with etiopathogenesis, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, therapy and prevention of neurological disorders. Students will become familiar with an optimal algorithm for: - diagnosis of neurological diseases in their acute and subacute phase - through clinical examination and different paraclinical investigations (neuroimaging, neurophysiology, laboratory including cerebrospinal fluid analysis and neurogenetics); - complex therapy of neurological diseases in their acute and subacute phase based on nosological and etiopathogenetic diagnosis, including therapy pharmacological, neurosurgical (including neuromodulation), physical therapy and ergotherapy, behavioural therapy, psychotherapy and other multidisciplinary procedures, including both standard and experimental therapy.
The students learn about the structure, functions, structural and functional disorders of the central and peripheral nervous systems. After course completion, students will be able to implement the acquired knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological patients.
