Course content
The subject deals with drug formulations, prescription, general pharmacology (pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics), pharmacology of vegetative nervous system and pharmacoogy of central nervous system (analgesics, anaesthetics, psychopharmacology and drugs used in neurology).

Learning outcomes
The student gets familiar with nomenclature of drugs, principles of prescription of drugs and important dosage forms. The student should know the basics of general pharmacology, basic types of adverse effects and interactions of the drugs. The student should know the pharmacology of the vegetative nervous system and the central nervous system.
After passing the course, the student should master the nomenclature of drugs, principles of prescription and important dosage forms. The student should know the basics of general pharmacology, especially pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, types of adverse effects and interactions. From the special topics the student should know the pharmacology of the vegetative nervous system and the central nervous system. The student should be able to use the knowledge both in his studies of clinical subjects and in his medical profession.
