Introduction to Cardiology. Angina pectoris. Myocardial Infarction. Valvular and Congenital Heart Disease in Adult. Heart Failure. Bradyarrhythmias. Supraventricular Tachyarrhythmias. Syncope. Pulmonary. Non-invasive methods. Interventional Methods in Coronary Heart Disease. Echocardiography. X-ray. Cardiac Pacing, ICD. Ventricular Tachyarrhythmias. Tachyarrhythmias Therapy. Hypertension. Biochemical tests in Cardiology. Embolism. Endocarditis, Myocarditis, Pericarditis. Diseases of Aorta. Diseases of Peripheral Arteries. Diff. diagnosis of Chest Pain. Content of Respiratory Medicine. Pulmonary Syndromes. Tuberculosis. Lung Tumours. Respiratory Insufficiency. Endoscopy of Respiratory System. Sarcoidosis. Intersticial Lung Diseases. Sleep Apnoe Syndrome. Asthma Bronchiale. Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Observation, Training in job and motor Skils
Learning outcomes
Active participation on cardiologic department: patients history, physical evaluation, diagnostic methods, therapy and prognostic significance of cardiovascular diseases. Participation in specialized cardiologic laboratories included.
The students will be able for individual evaluation of cardiologic patient, determination of appropriate diagnostic methods, interpretation of laboratory and paraclinic methods, determination of diagnosis and optimal therapeutic approach after this course. There is a test at the end of this block.

Fullfilled: IIN2/VCA11, FAR/VCB11, TPO/VCB13, TPO/VCBP1, CJA/VCB21 or CJA/VCB31, PSY/VCB11, IN2/VCB21, PAT/VCB11, PFY/VCB11

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

3-fold non-attendance at the cardiology seminars is allowed. 1-fold non-attendance at the practical training is allowed. 1-fold non-attendance at the laboratories is allowed. Students are obliged to compensate for more non-attendance than stated above. Knowledges checking.
