The thesis deals with the stylistic analysis of online weekly horoscopes. The analysed material consists of 432 weekly horoscopes sourced from three websites - Astrology, Horoscope and Teen Vogue. The texts were sourced over the period of 12 weeks and analysed concerning register, authorial style, and genre. The subject of the research was to determine aspects shared across the three sources regardless of the influence of the authorial style of the expected target audience. These aspects were then the subject of the genre analysis. The goal of this research project was to establish whether online weekly horoscopes can be considered an independent genre.
