The production and availability of multi temporal earth observation data have increased significantly mainly due to the data distribution policies and development in the technology. New ways of handling big earth observation data through data cubes and semantic data cubes have come to light. Visualization can play a key role to get information and eventually knowledge from the crude data. This thesis aims to develop a workflow for pre processing the information obtained from semantic earth observation data cube and visualizing that information leveraging the potential of different web technologies. The interactive components of the developed web application will facilitate users to manipulate the contents and explore the dynamics of the information presented. The workflow developed as part of this thesis can be used to visualize any other similar kind of multi temporal information.

The main aim of the thesis is to analyze the possibilities of visualizing the temporal data stored in Sen2Cube and develop a list of recommendations on how to visualize these data. Sen2Cube.at is the first operational semantic Earth Observation data cube, allowing the production of information from satellite imagery on a higher semantic level. The student will focus on processing the multitemporal data in a form from which visualizations can be created. The emphasis will be put on temporal and semantic content and user issues. The thesis results will be the workflow of how to optimally visualize data stored in Sen2Cube and several visualizations of temporal changes.
The student will attach all the collected datasets and all the animations to the thesis in digital form. The student will create a website about the thesis following the rules available on the department's website and a poster about the diploma thesis in A2 format. The student will submit the entire text (text, attachments, poster, outputs, input and output data) in digital form on a storage medium and the text of the thesis in two bound copies to the department's secretary.
