Práce věcně oponuje tradičním názorům o utrácení postižených dětí v
pravěku a antice. Argumentačně vycházím z moderního oboru ? bioarcheologie
soucitu. Snažím se ukázat, že každé paušalizující tvrzení bez vědecké
argumentace přináší více škody než užitku a je obtížné ho vykořenit. Práce se
nezabývá pouze pravěkem a antikou ? Řeckem a Římem.
i přes válečné útrapy, vznikají první teoretické práce o výchově a vzdělávání
všech bez rozdílů. Hledám zdroje morálních kvalit u některých významných
osobností péče o tělesně a zdravotně postižené. Řada z nich obětovala efektivní
pomoci postiženým svoje zdraví, majetek a kariéru.
Anotace v angličtině
The thesis factually opposes the traditional views about the spending of disabled
children in prehistory and antiquity. The argument is based on the modern field
of bioarchaeology of compassion. I try to show that any generalizing claim
without scientific argumentation does more harm than good and is difficult to
uproot. The thesis does not deal only with prehistory and antiquity - Greece and
Rome. I am trying to find a common denominator for compassion and disability
assistance in the earliest written religious books. Relation to the disabled runs like
a red thread not only through prehistory and antiquity but also finds its place in
the Middle Ages, when, despite the hardships of war, the first theoretical works
on the education of all without distinction are produced. I am looking for the
sources of moral qualities in some of the major figures in the care of the disabled.
Many of them sacrificed their health, property, and careers to effectively help the
disabled.
