Annotation in English
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of motivation for volunteer firefighters and stress management in the Fire Brigade of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into three chapters, the first of which characterizes the structure of the fire brigade, the second explains the issue of motivation to volunteer, and the third deals with stress and stress management. The main research question of the qualitative part of the thesis are the factors that motivate volunteer firefighters to serve. A qualitative design was chosen for this part of the research, which involved the analysis of 7 respondents. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews. The results show that the main motives are the desire to help others, experiencing a deep identification with the role and the need for social contact. Other factors are related to motivation, such as subjective feelings of appreciation or experiencing risks. The quantitative part of the research compares coping strategies of professional and volunteer firefighters. The research used the SVF-78 questionnaire, which was administered to both groups. The results indicate that professional and volunteer firefighters do not differ significantly in their use of strategies.

Research Plan
