Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou seniorské populace. Výzkumným cílem práce, bylo zjistit, jak senioři hodnotí kvalitu svého života a jaký mají postoj ke stáří a stárnutí. Pro dosažení výsledků byly využity verze českých standardizovaných dotazníků WHOQOL-BREF a AAQ. Dále byly použity doplňující otázky, pomocí kterých bylo zjišťováno, jak coronavirová pandemie ovlivňuje seniory.
Dotazníkového výzkumu se zúčastnilo celkem 101 respondentů, z nichž 38 žijících v domově pro seniory (Domov Duha Nový Jičín) a 63 respondentů žijících ve vlastním prostředí.
Podle dotazníku WHOQOL-BREF respondenti hodnotí nejvýše kvalitu života v doméně sociální vztahy a nejníže v doméně fyzické zdraví. Statistické významnosti se se vyskytly u proměnných věk, způsob bydlení, vzdělání, pohybová aktivita, finance a zdravotní stav. V dotazníku AAQ se senioři nejvíce shodovali s otázkami v doméně psychosociální ztráty a nejméně v doméně fyzické změny. Statistická významnost byla nalezena u proměnných věk, způsob bydlení, vzdělání, pohybová aktivita, finance a zdravotní stav. Koronavirová pandemie negativně ovlivnila psychiku, přátelství či partnerství a setkávání s rodinou a přáteli. Podle Spearmanovy korelace se v našem výzkumném souboru ukázaly korelace mezi všemi doménami dotazníku WHOQOL-BREF a AAQ.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of the quality of life among the senior population during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. The research goal of the thesis was to find out seniors´ evaluation of quality of their lives and their attitude to old age and aging. Versions of the Czech standardized WHOQOL-BREF and AAQ questionnaires were used to achieve the results. Additional questions were used to determine how the coronavirus pandemic affects the elderly.
A total of 101 respondents participated in the questionnaire survey, of which 38 were living in a home for the elderly (Domov Duha, Nový Jičín) and 63 respondents were living in the community.
According to the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire, respondents rate the highest quality of life in the domain of social relationships and the lowest in the domain of physical health. Statistical significance occurred for the variables age, way of living, education, physical activity, finances, and health status. In the AAQ questionnaire, seniors mostly agreed with the questions in the domain of psychosocial loss and the least in the domain of physical change. Statistical significance was found for the variables age, way of living, education, physical activity, finances, and health status. The coronavirus pandemic negatively affected the psyche, friendship or partnership, and meeting of family and friends. According to Spearman's correlation, the correlations between all domains of the WHOQOL-BREF and AAQ questionnaires were shown in our research set.
