The thesis Clothing, its Environmental Impact and Possible Futures, examines the environmental impact that clothing has and what possible role it may play in the future. By exploring the way clothing is produced, used, and discarded, this research helps find possible futures that will reduce its impact on the environment, extend its life of use, and be reused or discarded in a sustainable way. The research in this thesis is focused on using foresight methods such as trends, environmental scanning, and scenarios, to determine possible futures of clothing and its environmental impact.

Záznam průběhu obhajoby
Shauna Lee Wolfgram presented the results of the diploma thesis - Clothing, its Environmental Impact and Possible Future.
Students introduced aim, methodology and conclusion of her thesis. Afterward she was talking about current trends, technology, environmental scanning and future scenarios in clothing.
Committee was familiarized with both reviews from supervisor and reviewer. Discussion followed - student focused on those topics and issues.
What were the critical uncertainties you worked with scenarios? Why did you choose them?
Can be the fashion industry changed on individual level?
Can the author explain how did she choose relevant trends in each scenario?
