Shoulder joint plays a key role in swimming. Its proper function and alignment are important for creating maximum propulsion force. Shoulder pain is a significant problem for swimmers. Thanks to isokinetic dynamometry, we can diagnose muscle imbalances. Based on acquired results, we are able to regulate the training process as to prevent shoulder disorders. Theoretical part of the thesis contains basic information about anatomical structure of the shoulder, its functions and its significance in swimming. It also describes the method of isokinetic dynamometry and its application for swimmers' shoulder. The result of this thesis is a bibliography research regarding various studies of this topic around the world.
