Aby autor tuto iluzi zpochybnil a zároveň prozkoumal, jakým způsobem je udržována v rámci akademické praxe, zkoumá filozofii Nietzscheho, Kierkegaarda a Adorna.
The present dissertation conducts a metaphilosophical analysis of the field of philosophy. It examines how existential meaning is being systematically eradicated in philosophy to make room solely for textual meaning. The depersonalised and self-referential nature of textual meaning not only raises significant ethical concerns by undermining the connection of philosophy with human life and experience, but it also promotes a contemplative approach to philosophy which tends to overlook the essential role of practice and action, thereby reducing action to mere rhetoric. The dissertation further argues that an excessive emphasis on textual meaning has contributed to establishing formalism as the only legitimate approach to philosophising. Philosophers often confuse vita contemplativa with vita activa, mistaking contemplative life for practical life and thereby cultivating the illusion that contemplation is equivalent to action. To challenge this illusion and explore how it is perpetuated through academic practices, this dissertation investigates the philosophies of Nietzsche, Kierkegaard, and Adorno. The main subject of the dissertation is the ethical theme of venturing, which symbolises the alignment between a philosopher's philosophy and the actual life of the philosopher behind the philosophy.
