Cílem této diplomové práce bylo posoudit provedení chůze žen s primární dysmenoreou v různých fázích menstruačního cyklu a porovnat ho s kontrolní skupinou zdravých žen.

The aim of this master's thesis was to assess the gait performance of women with primary dysmenorrhea in different phases of the menstrual cycle and compare it with a control group of healthy women. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on knowledge about the menstrual cycle, the characteristics of dysmenorrhea, and their relationships with the musculoskeletal system. Additionally, gait, its biomechanical analysis, and the influence of the menstrual cycle and primary dysmenorrhea on its performance are described. Eighteen women with primary dysmenorrhea aged 20 to 26 participated in the study. Gait was evaluated using 3D kinematic analysis with the Vicon system. All participants underwent measurements in the periovulatory and menstrual phases of the menstrual cycle. In each phase, 6 valid gait trials were evaluated, analyzing the range of motion of the pelvis and trunk in the sagittal, frontal, and transverse planes. It was found that the range of pelvic motion in the sagittal plane during walking is significantly greater in healthy women in the periovulatory phase of the menstrual cycle than in women with primary dysmenorrhea. Based on the graphical representation of the movement pattern, women with primary dysmenorrhea exhibited a greater degree of trunk inclination in both the periovulatory and menstrual phases of the menstrual cycle and a greater degree of pelvic anteversion in the periovulatory phase. Overall results suggest that the presence of primary dysmenorrhea affects gait performance throughout the entire menstrual cycle, not just during menstruation. From a practical standpoint, incorporating therapeutic methods throughout the menstrual cycle appears to be appropriate.
