Personality traits´ differences in between different groups of drivers according to Personality Style and Disorder Inventory (PSDI) with convergent validization using the NEO-FFI questionnaire
a rizikovými řidiči, kteří u akreditovaného dopravního psychologa absolvovali
dopravněpsychologické vyšetření v letech 2016-2022 z důvodu dosažení 12 trestných
bodů a/nebo pro ZŘMV. Teoretická část práce popisuje faktory řidičského chování,
vztah osobnostních rysů k rizikovému řízení, teorii interakce osobnostních systémů
(PSI) a sociální dezirabilitu. V empirické části byl ke zpracování dat využit statistický
program JASP a balíček knihovny lavaan. Byly shromážděny 2 početné výzkumné
vzorky respondentů, co vyplnili PSSI (referenční vzorek I., N = 995; hlavní vzorek II., N
= 907, u kterého bylo sledováno více proměnných včetně objektivních záznamů o
řidičské historii). Podmnožinou vzorku II. je vzorek III. (N = 391), u kterého byl navíc
administrován dotazník NEO-FFI. V podmínkách DPV se nepodařilo replikovat
očekávanou pětifaktorovou strukturu NEO-FFI, což nepřímo svědčí pro efekt sociální
dezirability. Potvrdilo se zjištění z dřívějších výzkumů, že jsou bezpeční řidiči
přívětivější a svědomitější. Faktorová struktura PSSI vychází dle explorační faktorové
analýzy i dle analýzy hlavních komponent čtyřfaktorová ve shodě s manuálem metody.
Konfirmační faktorová analýza (model 14 x 1) potvrdila unidimezionalitu většiny škál
PSSI; reliabilita dotazníku se ukazuje s výjimkou obětavého stylu uspokojivá.
Porovnání průměrů skupin řidičů dle t-testu i dle neparametrického Mann-Whitney U
testu podporuje hypotézy o vyšších hrubých skórech paranoidního, histriónského,
negativistického, narcistického a disociálního osobnostního stylu u rizikových řidičů.
V rigorózní práci jsou formulována doporučení pro využití dotazníku PSSI
v dopravněpsychologické praxi.
Anotace v angličtině
The rigorosis thesis deals with the differences in personality traits according to the
PSDI and NEO-FFI questionnaires between the so-called safe drivers (operationalized
as professional drivers of vehicles and vehicle sets weighting more than 7.5 tons or
buses without a history of licence suspension, without current penalty points, with a
sufficiently long duration of upstanding driving history) and risky drivers who
underwent a traffic psychological examination in 2016-2022 with an accredited traffic
psychologist due to the achievement of 12 penalty points and/or for the licence
suspension. The theoretical part of the thesis describes factors of driving behavior, the
relation of personality traits to risky driving, the theory of interaction of personality
systems (PSI) and social desirability. In the empirical part, the JASP statistical program
and the lavaan package were used to process the data. 2 numerous research samples
of respondents who filled in PSDI were collected (reference sample I., N = 995; main
sample II., N = 907, for which several variables were monitored, including objective
records of driving history). A subset of sample II. is sample III. (N = 391), for which the
NEO-FFI questionnaire was also administered. Under traffic psychological assessment
conditions, it was not possible to replicate the expected five factor structure of NEO-FFI, which indirectly indicates the effect of social desirability. Previous research
outcome has been confirmed that safe drivers are more agreeable and more
conscientious. The factor structure of PSDI is based on the exploratory factor analysis
as well as the principal components analysis extracting four factors in accordance with
the manual of the method. Confirmatory factor analysis (14 x 1 model) confirmed the
unidimensionality of most PSDI scales; the reliability of the questionnaire seems
satisfactory with the exception of the self-sacrificing style. Comparison of driver group
averages according to both the t-test and the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test
supports hypotheses about higher raw scores of paranoid, histrionic, negativistic,
narcissistic and dissocial personality traits in risky drivers. The rigorosis thesis
formulates recommendations for the usage of the PSDI questionnaire in traffic
psychology practice.
