Involving the other students and employers of the Faculty of Education of UPOL, I intend to bring attention on the educative side of working au-par, in order to support and promote educational and alternative activities of our facultys members. Working au-par can be a positive educative experience for young university students, if organised and planned properly. As agreed with my tutor, I will be leading a (few) meeting(s) in one of our facultys facilities, with students and workers, to understand the positive educational characteristics of working au-par.
Personally, I have been using the platform WorkAway, but there are more, such as Worldpackers, Wwoof, Volunteers Base, Hippohelp, Helpx (see references). They put in contact a host family (the local) with a guest (the traveller). It is a win-win situation, because the guest can travel learning a new language, skills and getting inspired. On the other hand, the host family learns different cultures and satisfies the need of help. Furthermore, WorkAway keeps trying to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (such as to reduce inequalities, to improve the climate sustainability, etc. - see references).
At the end, I will give an outlook of the meeting(s). The resulting research can be described as a qualitative one.
