Diplomová práca sa venuje téme prevencie rakoviny krčka maternice. Teoretická časť je rozdelená do štyroch kapitol. Popisujeme v nich rôzne aspekty týkajúce sa problematiky prevencie rakoviny krčka maternice. Veľký dôraz kladieme na primárnu a sekundárnu prevenciu, kde rozoberáme najmä vakcíny proti HPV na Slovenku a v Českej republike, možnosť využitia bezplatnej sekundárnej prevencie a jej dôležitosť. V rámci praktickej časti sme použili neštandardizovaný dotazník, ktorý mapoval otázky o tejto problematike. Bol použitý kvantitatívny typ výskumu. Naším hlavným cieľom bolo posúdiť a porovnať prevenciu rakoviny krčka maternice u slovenských aj českých žien. Zaujímalo nás preto najmä dodržiavanie pravidelných gynekologických prehliadok, absolvovanie očkovania proti HPV a taktiež sme skúmali mieru vedomostí o prevencii tohto ochorenia a HPV infekcii. Absolvovanie pravidelných kontrol u gynekológa bolo v tomto výskume veľmi uspokojivé a výsledky ukázali, že vek ani úroveň vzdelania českých a slovenských respondentiek neovplyvňovali pravidelnú účasť.

Diploma thesis deals with topic of prevention of cervical cancer. Theoretical part is divided into four chapters. In these chapters we describe various aspects related to issues of cervical cancer prevention. We put big emphasis on primary and secundary prevention, where we discuss the problem of vaccination against HPV in Slovakia and Czech Republic and the possilibity of using free of charge secundary prevention and its imporatance. In the practical part we used a non-standardized questionnaire which mapped the questions about these issues. It was a quantitative type of reasearch. Our main target was to assess and compare the prevention of cervical cancer within the samples of Slovak and Czech women. We were interested in compliance with regular gynaecological examinations, participation on vaccination against HPV and we also researched the level of knowledge about prevention of cervical cancer and HPV infection. In the research participated 196 respondents, 98 respondents were from Czech Republic and 98 women were from Slovak Republic. The results were not significantly different between Slovak and Czech women, expect for participation in HPV vaccination where Czech respondents dominated 4,5 time more. Perception of the meaning and price of vaccination were not significantly different between these two groups. Participating in regular gynaecological control was very satisfying according to this research and the results show that neither age nor a level of education of respondents influenced the regular attendance. The avarage level of knowledge in in the sample of Slovak respondents was 3,6 points of possible 6 points and in the group of Czech respondents was 4,06 points of possible 6 points. Based on these results we can say, that it is still necessary to appeal to importance of preventive measures which can significantly reduce the incidence and mortality of cervical cancer.
