Despite advances in treatment, cervical cancers are among the poorly curable tumors when diagnosed at an advanced stage. Mortality remains high. In addition, the multimodal treatment used in these stages is very demanding and carries a great deal of morbidity. Therefore, there is an effort to determine other predictive and prognostic markers that helped predict the toxicity of treatment, mainly gastrointestinal. In our pilot study, we focused on the possibility of using citrulline as a possible marker of toxicity of chmoradiotherapy. We also monitored the levels of neopterin, kynurenine and tryptophan during treatment and their correlation.
