This bachelor thesis deals with the search for a connection between the personality characteristics of men and their preferred contraceptive method. The first chapter of the theoretical part is focused on personality and its theory, temperament, character and possibilities of measuring personality traits. The second chapter is devoted to gender, gender identity and stereotypes, femininity, masculinity and androgyny. There are also mentioned negative forms of masculinity - hegemonic, toxic masculinity and misogyny. The third chapter describes contraceptive methods with the greatest attention being paid to hormonal contraceptive pills. The last chapter presents previous researches that dealt with similar issues. A quantitative methodology design is chosen for the research part, specifically a questionnaire survey, using three questionnaires - self-constructed questionnaire, Singapore Androgyny Inventory and NEO-FFI personality inventory. Intentional selection is chosen for data collection. The research hypotheses are tested using correlation analysis, specifically Spearman's correlation coefficient.
