Hráči byli rozděleni dle věku do kategorií - muži (n = 20; věk = 24,9 ? 6,8; tělesná výška = 191,0 ? 18,8 cm; hmotnost = 91,1 ? 26,8 kg) a junioři (n = 30; věk = 17,7 ? 0,7; tělesná výška = 184,6 ? 9,2 cm; hmotnost = 77,3 ? 6,8 kg). Celkem probandi absolvovali dvě setkání, kdy jsme analyzovali pomocí GPS systému PolarTeam2Pro během průpravné hry basketbalu překonanou vzdálenost a pohyb v jednotlivých zónách rychlosti pohybu. Zároveň jsme analyzovali vnitřní odezvu organismu pomocí monitorů srdeční frekvence (SF) a zkoumali vliv nastupující únavy na obě zatížení. Výsledky ukazují na signifikantně vyšší překonanou vzdálenost v kategorií mužů během jednotlivých celých čtvrtin utkání, spojenou s nižším časem stráveném v zóně rychlosti nízká - stoj a vyšším procentuálním podílem času stráveném v nejvyšší zóně rychlosti pohybu vysoká - sprint v porovnání s kategorií juniorů. čtvrtinou a 1. a 4.

The aim of this study was to assess how fatigue affects players'performance when exposed to external load, and their internal response to it. The research sample was tested during a pre-season preparation period in May 2020. The cohort consisted of 50 Czech basketball players in two categories. They were divided according to their age into a group of Men (n = 20; age = 24.9 ? 6.8; height = 191.0 ? 18.8 cm; weight = 91.1 ? 26.8 kg), and Juniors (n = 30; age = 17.7 ? 0.7; height = 184.6 ? 9.2 cm; weight = 77.3 ? 6.8 kg). The participants completed two sessions at which we analysed the covered distance and motion in respected zones of movement velocity during a game-based drill with the use of a PolarTeam2 Pro GPS device. At the same time, we analysed the internal response of an organism to the onset of fatigue to both of the loads with the help of heart rate (HR) monitoring. The results showed significantly higher covered distance by the Men during the respective complete quarters of a game related to less time spent in the low-stand velocity zone, and a higher rate of per cent time spent in the highest high-sprint velocity zone of movement in comparison to that of the Juniors. The mean HR value was higher during the Juniors' scrimmage (85,1 ? 4,8 % HRmax) than that with the Men (79,1 ? 15,5 % HRmax). The internal response of the organism revealed no significant changes during the respective quarters nor differences in the last three minutes of all the quarters of the game played in either of a category. Fatigue manifested itself in transitions into lower zones of movement velocity in both of the categories during the last three minutes of a quarter related to the first and third quarters, and the first and fourth ones. Along with it, there was a decline of the distance covered in the last three minutes of the quarters of the game in either of a category. A decline curve was steeper with the Juniors. The distance covered during the last three minutes of each quarter was higher with the Men, as well as the time spent in the zone above 95 % of their HR.
