V této práci jsou shrnuty aktuální poznatky z výzkumu diagnostiky obstrukční spánkové apnoe u rezistentních hypertoniků a prezentovány výsledky naší studie. Cílem naší práce bylo u pacientů s rezistentní arteriální hypertenzí porovnat výsledky skríningového ambulantního vyšetření ApneaLink s noční monitorací respirační polygrafií a srovnat jednotlivé parametry OSA.

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is one of the most common causes of secondary arterial hypertension. It is important to rule out OSA as a cause of resistant hypertension. The ApneaLink device is a simple and cost-efficient outpatient examination, but its usefulness in screening OSA in resistant hypertension has not yet been evaluated. This paper summarizes current findings from the research on the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea in resistant hypertensive patients, where the results of our study are presented.
The aim of our study was to compare the results of screening using the outpatient bedside monitoring device ApneaLink with the results of respiratory polygraphy in patients with resistant hypertension. We also compared and correlated the severity of OSA with the anthropometric measurements.
