Z vysokorychlostních videozáznamů byly vytvořeny digitální kymogramy a z nich byly odečteny rezonanční frekvence a šířka rezonančního pásma hlasivek.

The aim of this thesis is to develop methodology for measurement of resonance properites of the vocal folds in excised deer larynges, which will serve as a foundation for more detailed experiments focused on resonance properties of vocal folds and effect of these resonance properties on voice production in humans. At first, the larynx was phonated by external air flow and the frequency of the vibration of the vocal folds was detected. Then, the larynx was vibrated using a technical shaker, which was excited in wide range of frequencies. Response of the vocal folds was observed using a high-speed camera with attached laryngoscope. The high-speed video recordings were processed into digital kymograms. From these, resonance frequencies and resonance bandwiths of the vocal folds were measured. These values were compared to the self-sustained vibration of the vocal folds. The frequency of the self-sustained deer vocal folds was 55 Hz. Two resonance frequencies at about 80 Hz and 140 Hz were observed during excitation via technical shaker. Two different modes of vibration were identified at these resonance frequencies in horizontal plane. Several technical difficulties emerged during the experiment. Future investigations will need to solve problems with simultaneous initiation of the vibrations of the shaker and start of the high-speed video recordings, elimination of noise in the measured data and attachment of the larynx, so that the visibility of glottis is improved. However, the initial results show, that this method is suitable for investigation of resonance properties of the vocal folds in excised larynges.
