na dvou sobě odlišných základních školách za pomoci výzkumu provedeného formou zúčastněného pozorování a interview. Výzkum potvrdil ovlivnění znalostí angličtiny žáků základních škol turismem.
Annotation in English
The overall level of English education in Indonesia is low. Main reasons are the lack of teachers and their poor qualification, circumstances in which is the classes are held, lack of students' motivation and different financial means of the students' parents.
Primary research was conducted in two primary schools in Bali, which were selected for their divergent background. The first is located in a touristic area while the second in a rural area. The researcher spent about 3 months in the first school and one week in the latter, using empirical research methods such as observation and interview with both the students and teachers.
The main purpose of this thesis is to outline the factors influencing the level of Indonesian learners of English, with a particular focus on primary schools. The results have shown that tourism plays a major role in English education and that levels of English in remote areas are significantly lower than in areas exposed to tourism.
