Course objectives:
|
To inform students with electromagnetics radiation energy exploatation in the quantum amplifier - Laser. To explain function of the whole laser system construction elements in view of wide laser using in praxis.

Content
|
1. Physical principle of laser operation (stimulated emission, energy level systemes) 2. Basic construction elements of laser, resonator types, longitudional and transversal modes 3. Laser classification according to active medium and safety classes 4. Laser beam propagation laws, optical element shaping, laser beam quality 5. Laser - matter interaction and its exploitation in science and industry 6. Laser industrial system construction, modifications, important producers 7. Summary of laser applications in medicine, metrology, military, communications etc.
