Course objectives:
|
Students will broaden their knowledge about Geographical Information Science, acquire basic skills in work with GPS navigation and skills to create online interactive maps.

Requirements on student
|
Active participation in the tutorial, presentation and discussion focused on one's own elaborated interactive maps.
|
Content
|
In theoretical part of the course the basic principles of Geographical Information Science will be presented. Practical part will be mostly held at computer laboratory and will be focused on work with freely accessible GIS software and its application in thematic map elaboration. Outdoor playful form of GPS mapping is an integral part of the course.
