Course objectives:

The course focuses on the practical teaching of physical geography advanced field data collection methods and their processing in GIS.

Requirements on student
|
Preparation of reports from practical exercises. GIS software basic skills (QGIS or ArcGIS).

Content
|
Mastery of advanced methods of physical geographic research with a focus on modern methods of data collection in the field using GIS mapping applications, basics of geophysical prospecting, accurate field measurements and mapping using DGPS, use of RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) technology and nearby photogrammetry, spatial data processing in GIS.
