Course objectives:

The aim of the course is to enable students to understand the physical geographical and human geographical phenomena in region.
|
Requirements on student
|
Active participation. Collection of materials in the visited destinations, their evaluation and subsequent oral presentation supported by self-created audiovisual support.
|
Content
|
The course is conducted as five stand-alone on-day field trips (or fewer more-day trips). Such field trips aim to practically apply the knowledge acquired in individual geographical disciplines. Students will visit important physical geographical and settlement places in model areas. Localities' natural and socio-economic potential will be assessed, as well as their possibilities for improvement. Students are expected to participate financially in paying their travel costs, entrance fees, or accommodation.
