1. Basic concepts and legislation of EU and CR in relation to environmental factors 2. Selected physical and chemical environmental factors and their impact on population health 3. System of monitoring the health status of the Czech population in relation to the environment 4. Biological monitoring in the Czech Republic 5. Mutagenic environmental factors - physical, chemical and biological mutagens 6. Teratogens and their effects - Wilson's table 7. Outdoor air and its pollution 8. Suspended particles PM, gaseous pollutants 9. Selected toxic substances released into the ambient air from transport, air quality in the Czech Republic - long-term trends 10. Sources and production of drinking water 11. Principles of operation of public and rehabilitation pools, prevention of transmission of infectious agents transmitted by water 12. Waste water and its remediation 13. Soil and its risks, children's sandboxes and stadiums with crushed surfaces - chemical and biological hazards 14. Deposition of toxic substances, radon 15. Waste sorting, municipal waste, program for waste from medical facilities

Learning outcomes
|
The subject is conceived as theoretical and is part of a complex of subjects enabling students to work in all spheres of health care. Students will learn to use different methods of work to support the health of individuals, groups and societies in relation to environmental risk factors. An integral part is familiarization with legal norms and professional terminology based on legislation related to the subject.
Upon completion of the course the student should be familiar with the EU and CR legislation in relation to environmental factors. He should be able to respond to emergencies - environmental accidents, smog warning and regulation systems, sewer disasters and the spread of contaminated drinking water. He should be familiar with the chemical control system (REACH) adopted in EU countries.

Preparation and presentation of seminar papers. Proof of self-study by a list of studied literature. Individual study.
