Czech Medical Chamber, its organs and their content, honorary council, code of ethics, disciplinary rules. Legal responsibility of health professionals. Act No 372/2011 Coll. as amended. The student should be able to perform an examination of the body of a deceased person, get acquainted with the problems of accidental and sudden deaths, get to know the basics of forensic traumatology, be able to collect material for laboratory examination, know the principles of examination of blood samples and other biological material; know the principles and legislative requirements for determining the level of ethanol. Know the legal provisions and administrative procedures. Furthermore, the aim of the course is to familiarize the student with the legal norms regulating the activities and competences of the Czech Medical Chamber, state organizations, to get acquainted with the basic conditions for the emergence of legal liability of physicians, other healthcare providers and other legal norms related to the performing of the medical profession.
After completing the course, the student is able to orientate in forensic medicine, forensic toxicology and knows the basics of legislation related to the practice of the medical profession. The student understands the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation with other disciplines and medico-legal issues. After completing the course, the student knows the importance of the Czech Medical Chamber for his/her future profession as a doctor and is able to navigate the legal issues related to his/her duties and rights. |
