Learning outcomes |
Subject provides complete information on the basics and also specifications of nutrition in healthy and diseased persons. The students are acquainted with the peculiarities of nutrition in different stages of life and informs about the nutritional recommendations for a specific disease. It informs about alternative ways of serving food, about the principles of food preparation and diet system in hospitals. It includes the assessment of nutritional status and energetic nutritional balance.
Students will be able to apply theoretical knowledge and skills in clinical practice, to assess the nutritional status of the patient and individually provide care to patients in the field of nutrition and diet. |
