Course content
Topics: homeostasis, blood, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, endocrine system, stress, digestive system, excretory system, male and female reproductive system, nervous system (CNS, peripheral nervous system, autonomic nervous system), muscle, metabolism, thermoregulation, rational nutrition. In seminars and exercises, the emphasis is on the function of a healthy human body in childhood.

Learning outcomes
Human physiology is a dynamic science studying the functions of the normal healthy human organism at the cellular, tissue and organ levels, discussing their development, regulation, coordination and integration. Students will gain basic theoretical and practical knowledge about the function of a healthy human body, necessary to master the study of related clinical and practical subjects. The teaching of physiology is specified with regard to the focus of the field of study.
The aim of the study is obtaining the basic theoretical as well as practical knowledge, necessary for understanding of normal function of the cells, tissues, and organs also obtaining essential informations about their control and integration with particular regard to the bachelor degree programme of the gereral nursing.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of physiology and anatomy at level of the central medical education.
