Course content
Surgery unbearable pain. Surgical treatment of trigeminal neuralgia nerve. Supratentoriální intracranial tumors. Fracture of vault and skull base. Infratentorial intracranial tumors. Surgery of cerebral blood vessels. Tumors of the sella turcica. Brain abscess. Neurosurgical approaches to the intracranial space of the spinal canal. Stereotactic Neurosurgery. Traumatic intracranial hemorrhage. Injury to peripheral nerves and their surgical treatment. Hydrocephalus - indications and methods of surgical treatment. Spinal cord injury. Traumatic brain fistula (liquorrhoea) and its surgical treatment. Contusion of the brain (cerebral contusio). Degenerative disease of the spine - prolapse of the intervertebral discs. Tumors in the spinal canal.

Learning outcomes
Teaching field of neurosurgery, knowledge about the operational diagnoses and surgical treatment, knowledge of pathophysiology of the disease, diagnostic methods and clinical examination of the patient.
Better orientation in neurosurgery.

Assumptions are met by completing the course prerequisites.
