The aim of this course is to revise and systematize the knowledge of English grammar. Special attention is paid to grammar exercises in order to automate the grammar rules, which is important for reception as well as production of a more complicated special text in English. In conversational exercises we shall discuss selected topics designed for broadening students' vocabulary. The texts help the students to develop the ability to understand the text and extract the gist information, to interpret it and work with it. We shall deal with listening as well. Students are asked to read assigned texts at home. Part of the conversational lessons shall be dedicated to realia of English speaking countries, for instance about people and countries, habits and stereotypes, tradition, work and social care, free time, sport, holidays, school system, universities, food and housing.
