Learning outcomes
The goal of the course is to cover basic literary tendencies and movements in cultural and political context of Argentina, for literature and politics are traditionally closely related since the formation of independent country. Special attention will be dedicated to the period of 70s to 90s of the 20th century which was strongly affected by the return of peronism power, period of bloody dictatorship of military junta in years 1976-1983 and political, economical development after the onset of democracy. Analysis will be oriented on narrative strategies or poetics of the most important authors of the period, who were faced with forced or voluntary exile and censure.
Basic knowledge of the contemporary Argentinean literature. Ability to analyse a literary text of the given period.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of the literary theory, a basic knowledge of the history and culture of Argentina.
