Key learning outcomes The aim of the study programme is to improve the skills of analysing texts as a structure of meaning, of applying a variety of contemporary scientific methods of literary and linguistic analysis on specific texts, and to improve skills of scientific dispute. In addition to a perfect knowledge of Spanish language in all its forms (achieving the C2 level of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), the graduate of the Master's degree should master the methodology of scientific research in the field of linguistics and literary criticism.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples The graduate of the two year Master course in Spanish Philology can work as a reviewer and an assistant in specialized publishing houses focused on Spanish-language literature. He/She can also work as a language specialist in research institutions, libraries but also in Czech or foreign companies. The graduates of the two year Master course can also work in education system, in scientific institutions and in diplomatic service of the Ministry of Foreign affairs or within the EU.
