Course content
Topics: 1. The European Convention on human Rights - passiv 2. The EU legal framework on anti-discrimination - Types of attributes 3. The area of freedom, security and justice 4. - 6. Internal market - complex sentences 7. The free movement of goods, services, capital and persons 8. Free movement of goods - The alternatives of the passiv 9. + 10. Free movement of workers and students 11. + 12. Students presentations

Learning outcomes
Those students who choose this optional subject will acquire knowledges of legal language and the ability to practice their language skills in legal German. They will work in the lessons at the basic topics from the EU-Law, legal terms a grammar of the legal language and legal texts.
Basic competence in legal German - active as well as passive language skills in legal German (listening to lectures and taking notes of the lectures, Improving the knowledge of the EU law in german and mastering texts from textbooks and the subsequent presentation of the texts.
Prerequisites
Completion of this subject is conditional upon successful completion of the subject NPEU1.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

Mastering of basic topics and legal terms, legal grammar and syntax of the legal texts, final presentation of one topic and the comparison of legal regulations, 80% active participation in the lessons.
