Learning outcomes
|
The final exam checks if students' language skills are at the B1 level after passing the four-semester course AJ1-AJ4. Students can check their language skills in the placement test at their disposal after enrolling in their studies (http://placement-test.ff.upol.cz).
At the end of the whole course (AJ1-AJ4) they will be able to prove that their language skills are at the B1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.

Prerequisites
|
Passing the four semesters is the basic prerequisite for registering for the exam. The exam consists of the written and oral part and is based on the Navigate B1 Pre-intermediate coursebook.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Written exam
The written part focuses on listening, reading comprehension and writing, it also checks the grammar and vocabulary related to the units done in the coursebook. Employing the form of a monologue and dialogue, the oral part checks students' speaking skills on the required level in both general language and subject-related language. Only students who have successfully passed the written test can do the oral part.
