Key learning outcomes The aim of this study programme is to prepare highly qualified specialists in the zoological disciplines. The study is focused on the acquisition of deep knowledge necessary for the highly specialized work, combining theoretical and practically oriented courses. During her/his study, the student write a zoologically oriented master thesis, which topic is usually connected with the scientific programme or projects of the respective department. The student learns methods of both field and laboratory work, data processing and analysis, and subsequent presentation of the results. Selection of sufficient number of compulsory-optional courses enables the student to gain extra knowledge, practical skills and general qualifications in a number of general and specialized zoological disciplines. The high scientific content of the study programme together with the combination of theoretical knowledge with its practical use give the graduates high adaptability and ability to independently solve challenging zoological problems, and enable them to be adaptable in practice.
