The aim of the seminar is to introduce students to the basics of academic writing and provide guidance on how to improve their written English. Attention will be paid to sentence structure as well as larger units of language. A substantial portion of the seminar will focus on the development of an annotation for a scholarly article. The course is designed especially for students who intend to write an undergraduate thesis in English. It is also suitable for those considering postgraduate study. The expected language level is B2.

Final project
Students are required to attend the classes although they may be absent twice per semester and they must participate in an active way. They must prepare for the classes as required by their teachers. They must successfully pass the graded exam. |
