| Key learning outcomes | The aim of the study programme Environmental Hazards and Climate Change is to train experts in the theoretical and advisory activities in the field of the risk assessment in relation to natural phenomena and interactions between humans and environment, and in the field of the climate change risks. The graduates will acquire theoretical knowledge on natural phenomena in surface layers of the Earths (atmosphere, surface and subsurface water, soil and rock environment, cryosphere, natural and cultural landscape, etc.), they will understand the interactions between these natural systems and anthropogenic activities, they will be able to identify possible risks ensuing from the interactions and to propose the methods of their mitigation. The graduates will be prepared to enrol at the master programme of the same or similar branch within the Earth and environmental sciences. |
