The aim of the course is to introduce students to the most appropriate management approaches for different types of ecosystems, with a focus on promoting biodiversity.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: - explain the theoretical foundations and key concepts of landscape and ecosystem ecology relevant to the environmental management of ecosystems, - understand the functioning of different types of ecosystems and the anthropogenic threats they face, with a particular focus on Central Europe, - apply the acquired knowledge to practical ecosystem management aimed at promoting biodiversity.
