Course content
|
Particularity of the hand and wrist surgery. Clinical anatomy of the hand and wrist. Principles of hand and wrist assessment and diagnostics. Hand and wrist injuries. Degenerative changes of the bones and soft tissues of hand and wrist. Compression neuropathies of the hand and wrist. Most frequent benign and malignant hand and wrist tumours.

Learning outcomes
|
Present the particularity of the hand and wrist surgery. Demonstrate tha basic content of theorethical knowledge - etiology, diagnostics, possibilities of conservative and surgical treatment.
At the end of this seminary, students should be able to: Describe issues of the domain of hand and wrist surgery in general, know clinically significant anatomical structures of the hand and wrist, describe the most prevalent hand and wrist diseases and know basis of their diagnostics and treatment.

Prerequisites

Command of human anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of basic surgical terminology.
