Course content
- the issue of seminars is education in general surgery (including acute abdomen) and surgical specialities topics (abdominal, thoracic, vascular, plastic surgery, traumatology, cardiosurgery) - patient´s examination and case history - study of imaging methods used in surgical patients - surgial case discussion in practical trainings, learn surgical treatment stategies - students become familiar with preparing of patients for surgeries, operating theatres and intensive care units, including the regime of night emergency, operating theatre views or assistance, basic surgical skills (wound suture)

Learning outcomes
Introduce the student to the fundamental principles of general surgery including acute abdomen, as well as acquire basic theoretical knowledge of surgical specialities (abdominal, thoracic, vascular, plastic surgery, traumatology, cardiosurgery). Practical training of surgical patient´s examination including patients with acute abdomen, operating theatre views or assistance.
After subject completion, the student will be able to examine a surgical patient, will be oriented in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and will be ready to further expand his knowledge based on professional practices and views.

Good knowledges af anatomy, physiology and pathology.

Full attendance of practical trainings and seminars, Working out a presentation on surgical topic.
