Course content
|
Occupational medicine, aim, object, occupational preventive care by stomatological professions from legal, employee, employer and physician point of view. Jobs categorization. Individual job risk factors at stomatological professions - local muscle strain, biological factors, psychological strain - impact on health. Risk prevention. Most often health damages from work at stomatological professions. Model situations.

Learning outcomes
|
This topic is concerned with the basic subject with emphasis on its interdisciplinary character. We will become acquainted with the principles of evaluating the basic health risk factors at work - for example how chemical agents, biological agents, and physical factors (noise, dust, vibration, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation) have an effect on health. Possible dangers to health from work are examined both from the point of view of various medical fields, and from the point of view of different professions of individual fields.
The student will be able to assess and prevention of dangers to health from work in the dentistry profession from the point of view of employees and employers.
